and the Saint-Tropez bay

1/ Discover the real Saint-Tropez
The Maures region is the lesser known and most authentic side of the Saint-Tropez region, to be discovered or rediscovered, out of season and off the beaten track, through the eyes of the writer Colette.
2/ Immerse yourself in nature
Between Hyères and Saint-Raphael, between the sea and the motorway, the beautiful Maures hills with their 150, 000 hectares of chestnut and pine trees beckon you to explore the local life.
3/ Enjoy sun in a bottle
Relish the vintage olive oil, taste the fruity reds and rosés under the very sun that saw them mature in the course of your rounds of the Provençal markets or while indulging in the pleasures of Mediterranean gourmet cuisine.
4/ Go back in time
From the Romans to Brigitte Bardot, from the Saracens to the first summer visitors, with the painters who catch that special light and the writers in love with the bay, travel through time and experience a history still alive in the local traditions, such as musket fire at the Saint Tropez Bravade!
5/ A plane ride away
To come and recharge your batteries in the Maures region, land in one of three national and international airports:
- the closest, Toulon-Hyères
- along with Nice and Marseille
The Maures region is also accessible by train:
- the closest train station: Les Arcs-Draguignan
- other train stations: Toulon and Saint-Raphael
- the closest high-speed TGV train station: Aix en Provence
